In Web3, partnerships aren’t just about grabbing attention — they’re foundational. Doubly so in Web3 gaming, as partner infrastructure and the right collaborators can make or break your project.
But in a space like gaming, which is constantly evolving and subject to a lot of noise, how do you find the right partners? And just as importantly, what makes a gaming partnership truly valuable?
In Session 4 of “Terraforming Web3”, scheduled for March 26, 2025, we will tackle these questions head-on in a one-hour fireside chat with Web3 leaders who’ve already done it. You’ll hear from Kim Currier, Head of Partnerships & Marketing at Decentraland, and Gabe from Cartridge, a Web3 gaming platform built on Starknet.
Session 4 speakers
In this session, Cartridge’s Gabe will dive into the infrastructure side of partnerships. He will cover how blockchain networks, sequencers, nodes, and other core systems coalesce through technical collaboration.
Decentraland’s Kim Currier will zoom out to explore the strategic layer: identifying the right types of partners, aligning KPIs, understanding mutual needs, and sharing real world examples of partnerships that drive results.
The panel will also explore the kinds of collabs that are uniquely possible in Web3.
Technical partnerships
The core of most Web3 projects is often composed of deeply technical collaborations, such as layer 2 integrations, protocol extensions, smart contract tooling, and more. In Session 4, we’ll explore how technical partnerships can drive innovation as well as accelerate and shape product development.
Ecosystem partnerships
Beyond the code lies ecosystem partnerships. These partnerships propel product growth, distribution, and the building of new communities. In Web3, getting your game in front of the right eyes can require anything from co-marketing campaigns to cross-platform launches, and many things in between.
Session 4 will explore how Decentraland and Cartridge have approached ecosystem building. We’ll learn what worked, what didn’t, as well as glean other vital insights.
Finding the most relevant partners
Web3 has no shortage of actors. You’ve got protocols, DAOs, tooling providers, L2s, VCs, influencers, marketplaces, and on and on. It’s a space so full of noise that finding the most relevant signals is more crucial than ever.
And not all partnerships are created equal. Some look good on paper while others flame out fast.
We will explore how leading Web3 teams have cut through the noise to locate the collaborators that actually bring real value to their projects and platforms.
